Scott - a quick follow-up... I agree with your assessment of team Trump back in 2020 - Sidney Powell and Rudy G. sidetracked team Trump towards Dominion.
But at the same time, there were over 60 election related cases brought against various states. The cases were filed as last resort when state/local election officials refused to do audits and/or provide election related data. The courts summarily threw the cases out (either for latches or standing). The media reported it as if Trump lost all of the cases, but the real truth is that most of the cases NEVER made it to discovery. Was this coincidence or conspiracy?
In any case, have you had the chance to read the court case filed Dec. 20, 2020 by Trump versus Georgia Elections Officials (various). As you probably know, Trump lost GA by less than 13,000 votes. In the GA Court Case filed by Trump, he identified hundreds of thousands of ineligible voters that cast ballots; including but not limited to under age voters, dead voters, voters that had moved to another county or state, etc. State of GA should have done an audit based on this information alone (the number of ineligible voters exceeded the margin of victory), but they did not. Trump even called Raffensperger and asked for an audit based on the ineligible voter information. Raffensperger refused. Of all the people who had standing to sue back in 2020, it was Trump. I believe his case was thrown out as well.
It is hard to prove election irregularities when both state election officials and the courts refuse to do anything about it.
Yes there are a small handful of good suits that should have been heard and were instead dismissed. I definitely agree with you on that. It underscores why we need a Trump presidency and GOP Senate so he can make more high quality judicial appointments.
It also appeared that there was a maximum pressure campaign, especially through 2021, to persuade judges to dismiss without reviewing the evidence.
There is undoubtedly a crisis of confidence in our election system that has been contributed to by the judiciary. Fair trials - even if they had ultimately lost - would have helped significantly in securing public confidence in elections if there truly was nothing to hide. Instead, they have made it too easy for people to believe that it's all rigged by blocking transparency.
While I will probably never believe that Biden got 81 million votes, I do believe that many who voted for Trump in 2016 did not vote or even voted for Biden in 2020. More than we'd want to admit. I also believe that the machine fraud narrative was so highly successful as a targeted disenfranchisement campaign against R voters that it was a bigger factor than fraud in the 2022 disappointment.
Scott, while I agree with you in general on the hand count vs machine count and that the results should confirm 1 ballot, 1 vote. Remember Atlanta, with the water main break - poll workers stayed behind and appeared to send the same stack of ballots through multiple times. Wouldn't a hand count in Atlanta have caught that?
I do believe there should be a mechanism for a have re-count when the candidates request and pay the cost of it.
We don't know for certain whether they actually were counted twice in Fulton county, but the 17k missing ballot images certainly indicates that may be the case.
I wonder what would have happened in 2020 if his campaign hadn't been so infiltrated. If he had a team like he does today, who really want to win, would they have some a recount in Fulton County instead of talking about machine flipped votes and planes full of ballots? Would that one action have changed the outcome?
